The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is proud to announce the 10th annual People of Color in Predominantly White Institutions conference, Different Perspectives on Majority Rules. To commemorate this special event, we are featuring nationally recognized keynote speakers, invited host speakers, panel discussions, concurrent sessions, luncheons, receptions and a number of exciting activities.
Proposals for presentations, panel discussions and workshops will be accepted until August 15. Presenters will receive a discounted registration fee and can reserve guest rooms at the conference site at a highly discounted rate (call 402-474-7474 to reserve a room). Presenters will be required to pre-register for the conference upon notification of acceptance of their proposals (call 402-472-2423 to register). A proceedings including abstracts of the presentations will be published and distributed at the conference.
Concurrent session proposals (including workshops and panel discussions) are invited on a wide range of issues facing people of color in predominantly white institutions. Suggested topics include:

Proposals due August 15, 2005
All proposals must include:
- Cover sheet with:
- Title of the proposed presentation or panel discussion.
- Name(s) and title(s) of the presenter(s)/panelist(s).
- Contact information: phone, fax, e-mail and mail address (i.e., whom should we contact?).
- Paragraph (50 words or fewer) describing the content of the session to be used on the conference website.
- Brief biographical sketch of each presenter (one-half page maximum for each person).
- Typed, double-spaced abstract of the presentation, 500-800 words in length, with only the proposed session title for identification purposes. Do not include the name(s) or title(s) of presenter(s) in the title of the abstract.
Proposals will be reviewed throughout the submission period. Notification of acceptance will be made by September 1, 2005. All presenters will be required to pre-register for the conference and will receive a discounted rate.
