Our Mission
The mission of Academic Conferences, in partnership with academic colleges/departments, is to extend the faculty expertise of the university to state, regional, national and international audiences. This is done through the development of self-sustaining conferences, symposia, institutes and workshops enabling faculty to extend their finest scholarship in teaching, research and outreach.
"UNL Academic Conferences is a newly reorganized unit on our campus designed to bring to UNL and beyond the best in conferences, programs, and symposia that feature our outstanding faculty across the disciplines and their colleagues world-wide. Staffed by a permanent director and advised by academic leaders at UNL, the Academic Conferences unit is dedicated to bringing faculty expertise to organizations and communities across the state, nation, and world. This work does the very important job of extending the resources of our university to the public who support it. The Office of Academic Affairs sponsors UNL Academic Conferences and encourages partnerships with our faculty, community, and professional groups to support its outreach mission."
