The University Of Nebraska-Lincoln is proud to host the 30th Annual Big XII Conference on Black Student Government. The conference will be February 15-18, 2007 and will celebrate the 30th Anniversary. To commemorate this special event, we are featuring recognized keynote speakers, invited host speakers, panel discussions, concurrent sessions, luncheons, receptions and a number of exciting activities.

Big XII Conference on Black Student Government Awards & Recognition
The Big XII Council on Black Student Government provides several scholarships for outstanding students and organizations that attend the Big XII Conference. We encourage you to explore the many different opportunities that are available to you as participants of the conference.
Please download the Attachment/Packet for information on the Big XII Conference on Black Student Government Awards & Recognition. Within this Attachment/Packet for 2007 will be information and directions for the following: Application Instructions, Applications, Mailing Information, Criteria for Eligibility, Description of Awards, and Deadlines for Entries and Notification. Please follow the directions in the Attachment/Packet. Note: award recipients will be announced at the conference and recipients must be in attendance to be eligible for a scholarship.
Proposals For Presentations, Panels and Workshops
Our theme for the Big XII 2007 is "The Power of One". Proposals for presentations, panel discussions and workshops will be accepted until November 17, 2006.
Concurrent session proposals (including workshops and panel discussions) are invited on a wide range of issues topics related to theme of this conference. Suggested topics include:

Submission Information
All proposals must include:
- Cover Sheet with:
- Title of proposed presentation or panel discussion
- Name(s) and title(s) of each presenter(s) or panelist
- Contact information: phone, fax, e-mail and mail address (i.e. whom should we contact?)
- Paragraph (50 words or fewer) describing the content of the session to be used on the conference website.
- Brief biographical sketch of each presenter/panelist (one-half page maximum for each person).
- Typed, double-spaced abstract of the presentation, 500-800 words in length, with only the proposed session title for identification purposes. Do not include the name(s) or title(s) of presenters within the title or abstract.
Proposals will be reviewed throughout the submission period.
Accepted proposals will be notified by December 15, 2006.

Travel Information
Lincoln is easily accessible by air, rail, or automobile. Interstate 80 stretching from coast to coast traces its path right along the Lincoln city limits. This east-west accessibility is complemented by ease of access from the north or south via U.S. Highway 77 or Interstate 29 by way of Nebraska Highway 2.
