Annual Heartland Regional Conference on Aging

New Approaches to Aging Communities




General Information and Purpose

Decisions made today will set us on a course for eventual success or failure about healthy aging in our communities between now to 2030. The Annual Heartland Regional Aging Conference will address healthy aging as an important emerging community issue. The conference will also address aging in place options and its importance to both the community and senior.

Conference Purpose

To bring people together to address issues impacting the aging sector from now to 2030.

Conference Focus

New Approaches to Aging Communities - Action, Benefits, and Choices -the ABC's of how to develop successful Aging Communities.
A. ACTION - respond to aging needs for a seamless Aging continuum by accessing information, resources, policy, and support
B. BENEFITS - provides an environment in which the senior citizen participates as a vital community member
C. CHOICES - housing and health services and options within the Aging continuum

Conference Parking Information

CONFERENCE PARKING: Parking is provided with your registration. Parking will be permitted in designated lots near the conference. Those who are attending the conference and need a PARKING PERMIT for the conference must indicate on their registration or email: conferences@unl.edu. Please note that if you are not signed up for a PARKING PERMIT, you will not be allowed to park in the designated lot. PARKING IS LIMITED and will be based on first-come-first-serve so register early in order to guarantee a parking permit. Map coming soon.

Special discount rates for conference participants and attendees are available at the following hotels. We have reserved a number of rooms that are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the low Conference rate. Registration and Fee Information

Listed are the conference registration fees for Early and General Registration. Registration fees include all conference materials.

We offer a special registration rate to Community Groups. To register as a Community Group, you will register under One name/person and under One Organization name. Space will be reserved for 4 attendees under the Organizations' name. As the conference draws near, we will contact you for the names of the attendees in your group. The four attendees do not need to be from the same organization but must be from the same "community".

You will be able to enter your Cost Object/WBS number during registration.

Purchase Order

Please enter your purchase order number during registration. If your purchase order number is pending, please enter/text "pending" in the drop down box. Your organization/institution will receive billing information.
